SiteSync Cookie Policy

Policy owner: Danylo Hordiienko
Effective date: March 11, 2026

1. Application

This Cookie Policy applies to Freedomseeker OÜ, operating under the brand name SiteSync, and covers the public marketing website available at https://sitesync.ai and www.sitesync.ai, including redirects, as well as the authenticated web application available at app.sitesync.ai.

Visitors to the public marketing website may be presented with a cookie notice describing the use of essential cookies and similar technologies.

Access to the SiteSync web application requires users to create an account and accept the SiteSync User Agreement and Privacy Policy. By accepting those agreements and continuing to use the application, users acknowledge the use of cookies and similar technologies necessary for authentication, security, and core application functionality.

This policy is intended for all visitors and users of those services, including individuals located in the European Union, the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom, and other jurisdictions.

2. Policy Statement

SiteSync is committed to transparency about the technologies used on its websites and web applications. This Cookie Policy explains what cookies and similar technologies are, why SiteSync uses them, what categories of cookies are used today, and how users can learn more about those technologies. Capitalized terms not defined in this Cookie Policy have the meanings given in the SiteSync Privacy Policy, available at https://sitesync.ai/legal/privacy-policy.

3. What Is a Cookie?

Cookies are small text files placed on a device when a user visits a website or uses an online service. Cookies may be session-based, meaning they are deleted when the browser is closed, or persistent, meaning they remain on the device until they expire or are deleted manually. Similar technologies may include browser local storage, session storage, software development kit (SDK) identifiers, pixels, diagnostic tags, and other technologies that store or access information on a user's device for comparable purposes. In this policy, the term "cookies" includes those similar technologies unless the context requires otherwise.

SiteSync uses browser storage only for purposes necessary to operate the service, remember user interface preferences, maintain secure sessions, and improve reliability of the application.

Certain browser storage values used by the authenticated SiteSync application may be encrypted before being stored in the browser in order to protect sensitive session data and configuration information.

4. Does SiteSync Use Cookies?

Yes. SiteSync uses cookies and similar technologies on its website and web application. At present, SiteSync uses those technologies primarily to provide essential website and application functionality, support language preferences, maintain secure authenticated sessions, and diagnose technical issues affecting service reliability and performance.

Cookies used within the authenticated SiteSync application are limited to those necessary to maintain secure login sessions, support account functionality, ensure service reliability, and protect the integrity and security of the platform.

5. How SiteSync Uses Cookies

SiteSync uses cookies and similar technologies to support core service functionality and limited technical diagnostics. For example, cookies may be used to remember a selected language, maintain an authenticated user session in the SiteSync application, support security-related service operations, and help SiteSync and its service providers identify and troubleshoot application errors or performance issues. SiteSync does not currently use cookies on its website for behavioral advertising, retargeting, cross-site profiling, or marketing campaign measurement.

6. Categories of Cookies Used by SiteSync

Strictly Necessary Cookies. These cookies are required for the SiteSync website or application to function properly. They include cookies used to maintain secure sessions, support authentication, remember essential user settings such as language choice, and help ensure the integrity and security of requests.

Performance and Diagnostic Cookies. SiteSync currently uses Datadog monitoring tools, including logs and related diagnostic tooling to detect errors, understand technical failures, and investigate service-quality issues. These tools are used solely for service reliability, debugging, and operational monitoring and are not used for advertising or cross-site tracking.

Datadog Session Replay (Application Only). Within the authenticated SiteSync web application available at app.sitesync.ai, SiteSync may use Datadog Session Replay as part of its Real User Monitoring diagnostic tooling. Session Replay allows SiteSync engineers to review recordings of user interface interactions to diagnose application errors, investigate service disruptions, and improve reliability and performance. These recordings may capture user interaction data such as page navigation, clicks, scroll behavior, and interface rendering events. SiteSync configures Datadog to mask or exclude sensitive input fields and designated content areas, and recordings are used solely for debugging, operational monitoring, and security investigation purposes. Session Replay data is not used for advertising, behavioral profiling, or cross-site tracking. Further details about how SiteSync processes personal data are available in the SiteSync Privacy Policy at https://sitesync.ai/legal/privacy-policy.

Functional Preference Cookies. SiteSync uses a language-preference cookie through the Next-Intl library when a user selects a locale other than the default English language setting.

Marketing Cookies. SiteSync does not currently use marketing or advertising cookies. If SiteSync introduces non-essential analytics, advertising, or marketing technologies in the future, this policy and the website cookie notice will be updated as appropriate before those technologies are used in a manner that requires additional notice or consent.

7. Third-Party Cookies and Similar Technologies

SiteSync currently relies on certain third-party service providers that may set or access cookies or similar identifiers on SiteSync domains in order to provide their services. For example, Datadog may place diagnostic cookies or identifiers in connection with error monitoring and reliability tooling. SiteSync may also use infrastructure providers such as hosting, content delivery, or security providers, including Vercel and Cloudflare. Based on SiteSync's current understanding, those providers are not intentionally used for advertising purposes on the SiteSync website. Where a third-party provider sets cookies or similar technologies through SiteSync services, the provider's own privacy documentation may also apply.

8. Advertising and Marketing Use

SiteSync does not currently use cookies for targeted advertising, remarketing, audience segmentation, or campaign attribution. SiteSync does not currently permit advertising partners to place marketing cookies through its website or web application.

9. Cookie Choices and Controls

SiteSync currently uses only cookies and similar technologies that it understands to be necessary for the operation, security, language preference, or technical reliability of its services.

On the public SiteSync website (sitesync.ai and www.sitesync.ai), an informational cookie banner is presented to inform visitors about the use of essential cookies.

The SiteSync web application (app.sitesync.ai) is accessible only to registered users who have accepted the SiteSync User Agreement and Privacy Policy during account creation. Those agreements describe the use of cookies and similar technologies required for authentication, security, and service functionality. For this reason, a separate cookie banner is not presented within the authenticated application.

The informational banner currently states: "We use essential cookies to ensure our website functions properly and to maintain security. These cookies are required for the site to operate and cannot be disabled. By continuing to use this website, you acknowledge our Cookies Policy." The banner includes an "Understood" button. The banner includes an "About Cookies on this Website" title.

Users may still control cookies through their browser settings. Most browsers allow users to review, block, or delete cookies. Please note that disabling cookies that are necessary for authentication, security, language preference, or core site functionality may cause parts of the website or application not to work correctly.

SiteSync honors privacy choices communicated through its own website controls and browser-based controls to the extent required by applicable law and technically supported in the context of the services provided. Users may review this Cookie Policy at https://sitesync.ai/legal/cookie-policy.

10. Do Not Track and Browser Signals

Some browsers offer a "Do Not Track" setting or other privacy signals. SiteSync does not use its website or web application for cross-site tracking of users over time for advertising purposes. SiteSync seeks to honor browser-based privacy controls where legally required and technically applicable. Because technical standards and legal requirements relating to browser signals continue to evolve, SiteSync may update its practices and this policy from time to time.

11. Third-Party Websites and Embedded Services

SiteSync services may, from time to time, link to or incorporate third-party services, such as hosted status pages, trust pages, customer support tools, security tools, payment services, forms, or embedded content. Those third-party services may use their own cookies or similar technologies, and SiteSync does not control their independent practices. Users should review the privacy and cookie information made available by those third parties when interacting with their services.

12. Changes to This Cookie Policy

SiteSync may update this Cookie Policy from time to time to reflect changes in law, technology, service providers, website functionality, or business practices. When SiteSync makes material changes, it will update the effective date above and publish the revised version at the applicable legal-policy page on the SiteSync website.
